You may indeed.

But few cars in the world IMHO give as much smiles per miles as a TVR Chimaera.

Believe me, all those who were suggesting you will need the AA to follow you round etc.. will be begging for a ride/drive...

I have AA cover- as far as I know, it's per person, not per car. So you shouldn't have any problems (unless you have a history somewhere of really unreliable cars).

Just make sure you have it serviced regularly by a reputable indy and I think that you'll be ok.

Welcome to the fold.

Funny enough, PR Wood is in Southend IIRC.. No idea if he does a good job or not, but I reckon he must do to still be in business.

Get RAC , In my experience to date (With Euroboxes not the chim I have to add) they come quicker than the AA. And having had the chim for >2 years now had to call the RAC man out to it the other day for the first time with a flat battery - as I had left the lights on all day (how stupid am I). He was there in <10 mins, knew where the battery was AND the procedure for resetting the alarm. Top bloke and a bit of a car nut too.

I'd go for the AA as it's per person even if you're the passenger in a different car.

But enjoy the car, service regularly, and people here will always be ready to help. We need all we can get now that TVR face a bit of an uncertain future. Lets hope the Pheonix rises from the grave in style.

Have used PR Wood myself and I know a couple of other pistonheaders who also use him. Always very busy but does a very good job. You should try to get out for the next mid Essex meet. Several TVRs convoy from Thorpe Bay seafront to the actual meet.
