Am relatively new to Chim ownership (4 weeks) so many daft questions to ask. I have a 93 Chim. There are 3 warning lights between the speedo and the rev counter. The middle one is oil I think and the bottom one is ignition/charging. Am I right in thinking that the top one is the ICE warning light. It hasn't come on while moving but when parked up in the garage it illuminates either green or red (without ignition key in at all) Is this what it is supposed to do?
Many thanks.
Many thanks.

Top red light is alarm activation code warning lamp. It may also be armed warning lamp on some but only flashes the relevant disruption code if the alarm is activated on mine. I have a META with an LED in a disc which sits on the side of the dash flashing when armed. Oh, and the immobiliser flashes by the ign switch too.

Interesting, my bottom one(red) only comes on when I turn on the fan, gets brighter the higher you switch the fan, failing alternator would make sense I gues but no starting problems or dimming lights.
Yes, I had that problem and resolved it by checking the earthing of the alternator; in particular, the lead that plugs into the alternator right nerxt to the 12V supply - I pulled that out and found the contact rusty. After cleaning it and and redoing all the bolts elsewhere to ensure a good contact, all the problems were gone.
