Morning!

Drove home last night got flashed by just about everyone, discovered I had no working rear lights!

What's the most likely fault...fuse gone perhapes? They were working last week as I'd just had the MOT? The hazzards and brake lights are all fine...Is it possible that having gained access to the battery last week could have disrupted something?

I currently have one side working.

I would therefore speculate that you have a blown fuse. The chances of a two dodgy connections at the same time are quite low.

The tail lights are on two separate circuits (by law). As the stop/tail lights are the same lamp and the brake lights work, there isn't an earth issue. Do the number plate lights work? I think they are each on the same supply as a tail light. Have you checked the lamps? It's not unknown for two to fail around the same time.

also check the brake light switch which is a small white switch box attached the the rear of the brake pedal, these are known to corrode.

Doesn't sound anything to bad then, which is good. Booked it into Scole now anyway, since the electric wing mirrors have developed a life of their own, so that needs to be checked out anyhow!

Cheers chaps
