picked the redeye up from kent last night after a respray, got home to essex car starts to splutter and run real lumpy, have a look under the lid ,the manifold (were the two join big bit) glowing bright red . oh s*it that not good.
me think could be :fuel not burning in engine ie coil not working, had new leads and plugs early this year, allso rev counter does not work and redlight on rev counter stays on
going to: clean plugs, check dizzy cap, change battery(its not holding a charg) whats coil number, is there a upgrade what do u think

My 4.3 was doing this, glowing red hot, took it into Andy at APM, turned out to be a dead plug letting unburnt fuel into the pre cat. He used cool (infrared?) temp probe to digangnose which cylinder it was.
The glowing cat is the result of the misfire. I agree it's worth checking for ignition problems, the dead tacho and warning light (is it the no-charge light?) both point to separate problems. In particular if the no charge warning light is on then the 'battery' problem may not be being caused by the battery. It may be the battery is knackered now anyway, but if you just replace it without fixing the underlying problem the new one is likely to go the same way. I suggest you get an expert to sort out all these problems, none of them seem likely to be particularly difficult or expensive to fix but if not fixed properly will end up doing further damage.
