Engine Idling strangely

Engine seems to be developing an issue on idle and gerneral running to a degree...

it seems to be idling too high or today for the first time it stalled a couple of times. Almost seems like the choke is sticking. I say this because it also drinks petrol and when it gets warm seems to do the high idle even more.

Any ideas? is it this stepper motor ive heard about?

if running fast, it probably means either - stepper motor needs a clean ( less likely) , or coolant temp sensor needs to be replaced ( common), you should find some reference to it under snb802 i think). Of course make sure the thermostat is doing what it should too.

wow, found so much under the search!

ALL the symptoms i have - i thought it was the HC aspect of the engine... the shunting. I cant wait to try this little switch!
