I know this is a stupid question, but is there a knack to taking the battery ouT? I am a reasonably strong bloke but it seems like there is no room to leaver the battery out. Also what battery do I ask for at motor factors?
Thanks

Do you mean taking it out of the box or getting the box out of the car?

For option a) Some have a handle, others have a strap around them, others you just have to tip up I think. For option b) two bolts under the car, mark the current position before you move the box, re-seal with silicone once you're done.

Hope this helps.

(I use a mirror and a light source underneath the car to realign the battery box holes with the holes in the car's body, as well as marking the edge of the battery box on the floor of the car)

First, remove all skin from your knuckles. Then, learn how to hang upside down for 20 mins at a time. This will get you ready....

As it's quite easy to get the battery out we must have all missed something about your question. i) Mark position of battery box with felt tip pen on floor of car to easy replacement ii) unbolt battery box from underneath car iii) slide battery box with battery out of footwell and remove battery etc. (obviously undoing leads along the way).
