Tyre prices

Hi all TVR mads,

Is this a good price?: a full set of new shoes for the chimaera, SO3s, balance, fitted, valves.... for 345.45. I was told normally around 500 smackers.

I found this company on the net on the south wales TVRcc. I am going to cardiff next week. I may have to go by Swansea.

What do you pros think?

Sounds good to me!!!, works out about £80 a tyre + fitting which is quite good!!!!

Don't forget to bed 'em in nicely before applying full cheese in the wet!

v good price, considering what some people seem to ask for them. think i paid about 400 quid.

make sure they look after your alloys.

80 quid a tyre ! thats 340 for 4 of em. out of 500 notes thats 160 to fit it !!! R U MAD. I hope i have missed something, but you said 345/45's !!! I've not heard that as any chimaera size anywhere, but lets just go mad and say it 'all round'. That makes it £160 to fit em !! 1 tyre monkey and a pair of 4 ton molegrips !!Plus You have to stand over and watch him dig his family name into your shiny rimms while he stashed 75psi into that expensive rubber and feel 'gratefull' for £160 worth of expert service. Whiule you're there, Ask them if they will do a vasectomy with the same tools and no anaesthetic ?

Definately to early for you!!!!, £80 * 4 = £320 which leaves about £25 for fitting and balancing the 4!!!!

I am not sure you got that right:

Total price for fitting 4 SO3s on my chimaera: £345.45
Which works out as £86.4 per tyre including fitting.

You initialy said around 500 smackers ! I thought the 345.45 was the tyre size
