Anyone know the socket size of the nut? The Bible recommends a 3/4 drive but not the size.

41mm, I found that I could not get a 3/4 drive socket and wrench on with the carrier on the car, but someome lent me a 1/2 drive 41mm socket and I was able to tighten the nut without taking the hub off the car.

Silly question but did you use a torque wrench? I cant find a 1/2" one that goes up to a high enough torque (230 lb/ft eek!)

No, I weight 11st thats 154lbs so standing on a bar 18 inches long till it stops rotating gives 231ft/lb thats how I did it. Crude but simple.
