Have just discovered that the area behind and under the drivers seat feels like it's had a bucket of water poured into it - would love to understand why. Before I go 'trial and error' on getting the seat out, any advice from you guys? It's a Y reg facelift Chimaera.

Easy. Four bolts from underside of car - remove and lift out seat.

I had this - what happens is the water gets through the velco bit of the roof , runs down the inside of the carpet then ends up as a pool under the seat. You will find the carpet either behind or to the side of the seat is wet all the way up.

I cured this by doing two things:

1. Waterproof the roof. Water was leaking in through the side of the rooof above the velcro as it wasnt waterproof

2. Put the velcro on right. I find that if I dont do it exactly right I get a car full of water. So - put the targa panel in , raise the rear to meet the targa but dont push the struts into place. Undo and reseal the velcro inside and out both sides. Then push the struts up. You should find the side parts of the roof are now nice and tight - if they arent taught they arent waterproof.

To dry it out I used a towel to keep soaking up the water until it was near dry. Then I stuck a de-humidifier (ebay £30) in there for a few hours a day over several days. Dry as a bone now.

Hope this helps !

Cheers. Any tricks involved, like resealing around the bolts afterwards? I take it that these are the bolt fixings for the runners.
