Folks,

I could do with a new leather gator around the gearstick on my Chim but have no idea where I can get one made/fitted locally. Anyone know a place in the South Bucks/Berks area that does leather retrim/repairs work?

Whilst thinking about it......I also have a small blemish on the transmission tunnel that could do with a decent repair and maybe even the drivers seat could do with a recovering. Anyone know where I could get a complete new leather interior for a Chim and the likely cost? Are we talking £2K or £10K???

Just wonderin' like.

Cheers all,

- Andy.

Hi Andy, did a search and came up with this post, it may help. At least it's a start.

looks like EdT has had some work done of this sort. You may want to drop him a mail via his profile.

I think he's a bit nearer to you.

you can order gaitors for the gearlever and handbrake easily through your TVR dealer. I know the amblia(sp?)(fake leather stuff) are only £12 each so leather will not be that much more.

Cheers Whitey - I usually make it a policy not to go via TVR dealers but in this case I may have to make an exception!

Thanks...

I would have thought it your first call for a gear lever gaitor? Anyway this guy advertises in "Sprint" and I has done some TVR stuff, he is Bourne End which is South Bucks/Berks borders so probably ideal for you? Rich...
