Hello Maisey wavey

Dunno about the Midlands lot, but us Cotswold 3 Counties bunch are quite nice really. We try to be friendly and not eat too many people by accident. Just small ones. On toast.

Check out www.tvrcc-c3c.co.uk/ - you'll see there's lots going on each month. Mostly drinking, chatting, and ragging those who we still tolerate even if they have replaced their lovely TVRs with horrid ford-engined plastic south african thingies. A good mix of cars too - plenty of Chims and Griffs, a few Cerbs and Tuscans, at least one Tamora and the occasional Sagaris or two, not to mention the Wedgie fraternity.

Do pop down and say hello! Will be nice to see another Worcester member - I get all depressed driving through Worcs with no one to wave at! bounce

Oh and just to add, for servicing, virtually all of us go to Horizon Motorsport on the edge of Birmingham - TVR knowledge is second only to their bacon sandwiches! hehe

I'm in the area for the next 6 months. Currently in Malvern, probably heading over towards Cheltenham in the new year.

Talking about servicing in the area, any opinions on David Gerald? Please email if it's more appropriate.

D.G at Inkberrow, I spoke to him for general advice before buying my chimaera. I found him to be a good source of informatiom and very genuine. I will be having mine serviced there when I move back.

Cool. I dropped by DG many years ago to try out an S when I was first thinking about getting a car. They seemed a very decent bunch.

Hi Maisey wavey I'm in Evesham but will be moving early next year (hopefully if I sell quickly).... probably around the Bromsgrove area (long story) and hope to buy my first Tiv, probably a Chim (although I find myself looking at Griffs)yikes, so it will be good to have a fellow new Chim owner in the area who has experience in sourcing and buying their first Chim.

Went to DG's open day and was impressed with their hospitality not to mention the lovely collection of tivs that turned up. Their servicing prices aren't too shabby either.

Hi Blueyonder
I am relocating to Worcester within the month. Left ten months age to work in the London. I know Bromsgrove and Redditch areas fairly well having worked in both. I had wanted a TVR for years and treated myself for my 40th.
Spoke to lots of dealers for background advice before buying but found the best selection and deals on fish4cars. I have a 1998 S plate chimaera with 20,000 registered miles. I have an MGF and may keep that for business miles if my next job does not have a company car with it. Happy shopping !

Your chimaera sounds great - what colour? You'll be itching for next spring/summer and getting it out on the road driving Can't wait to get my hands on one. Will you be going to the various events next year i.e pistonfest drink ,chimfest and possibly a hoon or two?

Mine is Rosso red ! I wasn't adamant on the colour moreso condition and mileage, I hope I have been luck, the guy I bought if from had had it for a year and only covered four thousand miles, kept it as a boy's toy really. I understand my chimaera was a consequence of a marital split. I think he was more devestated about selling the TVR than loosing the wife !!!. He bought it from Cheltenham TVR so I guessed it's immediate history sounded OK.
Yes I do hope to go to the meetings etc as it's a good safe way to meet likeminded people.
The other thing I plan to invest in is a driving day. some off road tuition to get to know the motor and understand what's happening under the bonnet when your driving. I guess that will have to be the second part of my 40th B'day pressie to myself !!!

Glad that his loss was your gain but if he is going through a marital split why didn't he keep the Chim? The reason I am getting a Tiv is because I have wanted one for ages and the girlfriend and I are seperating so it will give me something to get involved in and meet new like minded people bounce Also will stop me from feeling sorry for myself cry

Driving day..... good idea! I intend to do the same thing, big difference between an everyday company diesel hack an a RV8 with no driver aids yikes More fun though... so I am led to believe (mate of mine who is a PHer and has had a Griff keeps telling me)! You'll have to let me know when you have been and what you thought.

Blueyonder sorry to hear about you relationship break up, as they say life's a bitch then you buy a TVR. Hey single is fun especially with a V8 engine. Get yourself a TVR and start meeting others with the same interests, feeling better already ? I thought so.
I do a cheap on the side counselling service for broken hearts ! trust me I've had plenty of experience. Want to go car shopping let me know !!!

About the same really in distance, but west mids is on a Sunday mid day, and 3 counties is a weeknight, so not always easy to get to if working late. West Mids meet Sunday just gone, nice day, sunshine, and 45 cars turned out, so a good days TVRing .
