had cause to stop in a dark layby to check under bonnet. I brushed the aluminium covered heat shield under the bonnet with the stay and got a good display of sparks and electric discharge. being both foolish and inquisitive got interesting tingle shock when touched with finger tips. eek the charge persisted for several minutes. can only think the shield is acting as big electric condenser and soaking up corona discharge from leads - or some such weird stuff.

Any one else had it? Any ideas?

cheers

That sounds wierd, could you hear the theme tune from the X files in the background? No that isn't normal and I can't think what would cause it.

The new V8developments 4.6L stagelll just collected from Spalding might have had something to do with it......hehe

come to think about it, I was parked under 440Kv (or whatever) transmission line, and there were strange lights over Grantham - and they are a bit odd down there
