Hi,
Contacts on a brake light bulb appear to have worn down (vibration suggested by chim_knee). Bulb says it is a Lucas LLB 380 12V P21/5W. As a hesitant DIY beginner, I'm wondering where I can order one of these (or the equivalent). Preferably online (long hours at the computer...)
Thanks,
Crouchy

Halfords or other motorist discount stores are the best bet - should be a standard bulb.

Otherwise I'd go to www.tvrgear.com (TMS). I usually do a search online, then order via the telephone.

Standard stop/tail light 4w/20w, Halfords or any motor factor will have them

whip off the carpet covering the light cluster (you don't say what model Chim you have) but late one unscrew the light, fit new bulb (bit of vaseline round the bayonet)

Can't remember how the early ones work but it's fairly obvious IIRC

May seem obvious but I am going on the "hesitant DIY'er" bit but make sure you get the "staggered" bayonets (not sure what they are properly called but one is higher up than the other). This ensures that you get the brighter glow on the brakes rather than the lights.

Cheers,
Phil.
