First bet would be the park switch/connector on the underside of the wiper motor. On the majority of cars they're nicely positioned so as to sit in the little pond of water that naturally gathers in the depression it locates in... easy enough to get at and fix/replace. Not expenve if replacement needed

Sounds like the park switch to me.
Dead easy to fit in about 10 mins.
Cost about ten quid from any TVR supplier.
I got mine from Chris Neil next day delivery.
When you fit a new one put plenty of sealant round the connector and wiring and it should then last much longer.
Dont forget to reseal round the 2 nuts that hold the motor to the inner wing otherwise
you may end up with a footwell full of water.
Cheers
Paul.

The posts above pretty much cover it but here's a wiper park switch replacement guide.

Don't forget the 12v supply to the wiper park circuit is sometimes fed off the same fuse as your brake lights! Not the main "running fuse" it may be wise to check you brake lights are working. However having had this myself I found that my problems were with the parking switch.

anybody know what the wipers are from originally ? As a winter proj was gonna look into getting curved blades than also park flat onto the bottom of the window rather than half-way up it...

I replaced my park switch about 4 years ago and sealed it around the joints with bathroom sealant before fitting it. I've had no problem since.

Look at the Leven wiper/washer kit, it makes a big difference

Hiya

Check out the relay. Had problems with mine recently, they had a mind of they're own??

Found a big whole in the corner of the relay (like a mouse had eaten it! )

Seems to have sorted it, for now at least....
