Driver's side footwell like a paddling pool after rain these last few weeks. Done all the obvious bits, like resealing the cable entries and clutch m/c cover etc under the bonnet, and all door/roof seals seem present, correct and in reasonable nick. Also done round the bottom of the windscreen in case it's wicking past there (not sure how succesfully tbh)... but no improvement. Worst when stationary and I seem to get drips under the dash. Suggestions for other sources please? (did think wiper spindles but the void the mech is in is self contained and would catch drips without them entering the main cabin...unless it's full eek)

I did have it coming through the windscreen on my chim, despite previous owners attempts to re-seal.It's a good idea to get a willing assistant to pour water in different places, whilst your in the footwell looking to see it come in.

There is a bolt that goes through to the dashboard at the front of the drivers door, below the 'A' pillar but above the rubber seal - that appears to have been the source of water ingress on my Chim at some time, have a look at that

Cheers guys... I'm pretty sure it's coming by the screen now. Any ideas on best way to seal this? Hoping there's a way that doesn't involve re-fitting the screen?

The only way to do mine was to re-fit the screen. At the time,a new one was easily available, but theses days you might have to use your existing one, possibly.I was advised to use new rubber trim around the screen when re-fitting,this doesn't affect the seal, but it can be difficult to re-use old trim and still get it looking smart. All in all,it was well worth paying the insurance co. £50.

Just in case you find it's not the screen....the passenger side footwell of my chim had soggy carpets - turned out when stationary, the water was running down the side of the canvas roof, running down the gap between the door and the body, but the door was bridging the rubber seal more than it should - meaning the water was trickling onto the carpet instead of staying on the outside. Does that make sense? If not I'll take photos etc.

Anyhow I fixed mine by buying some rubber trim and affixing a 1" x 2" addition to the top of the door seal either side. Problem solved! I have loads of this left over should you need some, just let me know.
