electrical fault

ive just dragged my 94 chim screaming and shouting from hibernation only to find some of the electrics going haywire.
i removed the top of the dash and found that by getting hold of the main loom it sometimes cuts in/out but ive also found that when i open the door everything works!!!!!
must be a bad earth as not all on the same live, anyone know where the earth will be????

It's covered in the Bible 2.... One under the rad, one on the front wheel arch chassis driver side, two under central console.
