Yea! Not used a grease gun before. am I right in thinking that you keep pumping until clean grease emerges from the nipple or the bearing joint?
Also what grease to use?

There are nipples on each brake caliper - but my grease gun just spat brake fluid everywhere.

poorpeet,yes just pump thee old grease gun(ooh her missus)until clean grease comes out the joints you should see the old discoloured grease being pushed out the joint,if the nipples dont take grease then unscrew em and soak in thinners then force grease thru before fitting back to prop/whatever,oh.. medium grease will do castrol LM etc,high melting point from memory,easily available,you,ll have another job done poorpeet.

Yep - when I bought my 450 the propshaft hadnt seen grease in a very long time. A nasty vibration at speed was tracked down to this joint being dry as a bone. Luckily no damage done, taken apart packed with grease, put back together no more vibration.

I thought the current trend was to use red grease (silicon type) which lasts far longer. LR now pack joints for life, Neil Anderson used it on my wheel bearings which is how I first heard about it.

regular greasing is better than never,red,beige,black,synthetic,mineral, whatever.but yes Spend, better quality the better.
