Hi all,

Well after my first year of owning a TVR Chimaera and a trouble free one at that, not sure why I feel I have to say that rolleyes Its now time to service and MOT the car.

I'm based in Milton Keynes and am looking for recomendations\experiences of where people living in the area take there Pride and Joy.

Thanks all in advance.

Hi Geo,

I'm currently working in Milton Keynes and must admit that I have been using TVR Power in Coventry. Their hourly rate isn't as costly as the Dealer's and they certainly know TVRs...but it's about 50 miles away and a £14.40 train ride up there (and £10.00 taxi the other end) to collect it (I collected mine last night in fact...) so you need to factor in 100 miles petrol and £50.00 travel (unless you've got a mate happy to drop you off).

On the other hand if there's a very good specialist locally I'd be interested to hear too!

J.
PS In case you didn't know TVR Power is now independent too (was part of NS's empire until end of last year).

Silverstone Performance or Topcats in Aylesbury would be my choices.

www.offord.com/ are about 35 miles away from MK. Been using them for over 4 years and 40 000 miles with no problems.

As FunkyGibbon have been using Offord for past few years. Not only do they offer excellent servicing but also when I've done some work myself they have also offered some sound advice and guideance, especially when I renewed the front suspension bushes which they pressed out and re-fitted with poly.

Offord everytime......always really helpful, know there stuff and always happy to advise on DIY jobs too and never give you the old 'Sorry we can't say, but come and let us sort that for you sir'

They Drive TVRs too (We'll forgive them the odd Saab and Landrover thing they have as well....)

Well, Thanks everyone. beer

Looks like Offords it is then, I must say I have heard good things about them in the past and found them helpful when I enquired about purchasing a TVR from their garage.

Also need to get a 12K service done, can any one reccomend an indi in my area, salisbury wilts. Most the main dealers seem to be 60+ miles away so going to have to travel abit anyway.
