I think this might be a bit more blue that you were looking for, but it may help : http://tinyurl.com/yaw7oa

These guys seem to do a lot of the "effects" paints and might be worth talking to.

Nah - i shall stick to my original idea.

Andy,

I've bought paint from a few places in the past, but more recently MAJ paints over in Sunderland (just over QA bridge) and before that I think Paintshop Supplies (seem to remember also Sunderland.....pallion way).......whatcha going to paint it in 2K?

There were a few places doing candy & flip on t'internet when I was thinking about doing a colour change on the bike........eBay - I kid you not!

Cheers Neejah...i am not to familiar with sunderland....where about is this paint shop?

I am going for 2k later...i just need to set a few things set up and get the spray booth in place...for now i am just trying to get the car looking roughly how i want it to get an idea...got lots of things planned for the chim...!!!

I have spoken a few times to one bloke on ebay selling flip paint and he is quite cheap but the link victormeldrew gave is fantastic for cheap paints...about £20 for 1ltr of pearl paint is really good...are you on about the lad who is sellling paint for saxos lambretas and vespas???

Just a word of caution , watch out for cheaper makes of paint / primers etc , IF you are looking for a quality finish its worth spending extra.. cheaper clearcoats tend not to hold the gloss like a decent laquer and you end up with a hazey finish .. Its not as critical with basecoats..

Itsalso harder with fibreglass as it does tend to sink anyway and pull the gloss.. when I did my westy I pushed the boat out and used "house of colour flip base" (I wouldnt have used this for a normal colour due to price) and a Standox clear. (pic of car in my profile)
