Need to remove the driver side rocker cover to have a look as slightly noisy, removed plenum, coil etc, do you have to disconect the black water pipe by the alternator, and also do the fule lines have to be disconected, or can it be done with these in place.
When putting the plenum cover on is there a proper gasket for these or use silicon, if so what type of silicon is best to use to with stand the heat.

Pretty sure you didnt need to remove the plenum to get the drivers side rocker cover off, IIRC it can be removed without moving anything else....
Is the black water pipe by the alternator ,the one that goes into the inner wing? If so its the vacuum pipe for the brake servo.
The best gaskets to use are the later rubber type ones, available in LR dealers, most indies(ACT products) or fleabay..
They are alot better.
You have to clear everything off the top of the rocker cover. On mine that doesn't include any hoses, but it might involve fuel/water/air con etc on yours, couldn't say without seeing it. The rocker cover has to come straigt up three or four inches so you can get a good idea of how much space you need clear. For refitting you have the choice of cork or rubber gaskets. Rubber costs much more but seals better and is reusable - cork usually not.
Got the plenum a vac hoses all off, there are two pipes (assume these are the internal heater loop) that are attached using the 2 outside rocker bolts, his is what the black hose is connected to by the alternator.
If i disconect the fule lines dose the system need to be bled when re connected. If so how.
Also disconnecting the water lines whats the best way to reconnect and get rid of any air locks.
