My chimaera is about to turn 100, 100K miles that is, it is running perfectly, and may be for sale shortly, if anyone is interested for a modest price. How many more TVRs have their telegram from the queen?

Good work! How long have you owned the car, and how many of the 100k did you put on? Would you mind posting what has needed to be replaced/fixed over it's lifetime? It's rare to see this sort of mileage - I'm sure we'd all be interested to know how they fare...

Hi Ocean

How's things? Glad to hear the car's still going strong for you. I sold mine last week, which was a bit of a wrench, but should be taking delivery of my next one later this week. What are you going to do when you sell this? Get another or something else?

Catch you later

C

I got the car with 88000miles on the clock. It had a new wishbone and a suspension re-bush at that time. As far as I know, and this follows discusion with the previous owner (a fellow PHer) the engine/gearbox is original and has never needed any work. Since Ive had the car the handbrake pivot bolt sheared and a couple of cooling hoses got pinholes which caused masses of steam to come out of the bonnet vents, but very little water was actually lost. Both these problems were fixed easily enough by me. Apart from that no problems.
I should say that I use the car every day and like a lot of people I think this is the key to a reliable car.
Hi Rudegirl, I will probably get a Cerbera next, gulp!

Hi Ocean, I hope you get more than the 'modest price' you mention for the car.
I know that colour doesn't really add value but, as far as I'm aware, you and I are the only P/H's on here with Ocean Haze Chimaeras (I stand to be corrected of course)- and I was told there are just 6 or 7 in the UK.

The mileage is a great testament to the car- especially as it's been relatively trouble free for you.

Mine's a good bit short of her hundredth- but two weeks ago she reached retiral age!
I guess that means a free buss pass. Is there such a thing as a single decker flat-bed?

Good luck with the Cerbie hunt.
Kenny
