Oor, just found a wet patch by me clutch.

Delights of new ownership and smile weakening a little now. Chimaera odometer refused to click over to 21k today (Ahh the secret of eternal youth). I,ve seen the links and will be reversing and tapping furiously tommorow.
More worrying is the wet patch of what I think is clutch fluid coming from where the clutch pedal disapears into the bulkhead. I cant check the fluid level as the little hatch has been sealed shut with mastic. Should I be worried or should I just buy new trainers now that they are covered in clutch fluid.
Any thoughts gratefully recieved.

Hey - it's only a fillet of black mastic - no big deal to remove. Take the lid off and have a look at the reservoir. Make sure you replace the mastic otherwise rain water will add to your glycol-soggy trainers. Might be worth checking the brake fluid reservoir too - just in case its leaking and running along, then down.

Had the same think sounds likes the seals have gone the mat was wet and I was losing fluid good luck
