Electric Window Issue

Guys,
I've started having an issue with my drivers side electric window on my Chim. Basically I seem to have a short/grounding fault/wiring issue somewhere between the inside of the car and the door itself.

After a fair bit of playing around with the connectors, motor etc I have found that the window works when the door is open wide but is intermittent when it is closed.

Is there a likely place for where the wiring has gone wrong that I could check first before pulling the whole loom out of the door and tracing it back?

Behind the footwell carpet just infront of the door you'll find some connectors

i had same problem on my 944 a wire had broken inbetween the door and doorpost where the wires have frequent back/forward stretching movements
