Had Chim in at Horseless Carriages in Harrogate this week, to have all the exhaust gaskets re-newed (put up with engine tapping for long enough!!!!).

Asked them to have a quick check over her for any faults, apparently required 4 new spark plug extentions on the same side as the leaking gasket was.(get on with it and change was the answer).

Well i can safely say the car is running the best i can ever remember,so crisp and responsive, just goes to show a trip to the people who are in the know can reap such huge benefit, and driving satisfaction for the sake of £350!!

Thankyou to all at TVR Horseless Carriages.

Altered the driving position with my seat slightly over the weekend to a more upright position,I am 6'4" and sit in the driving position quite comfortably but, the back rest feels as though it is half way down my back!!Ok the head rest can be lifted, but that doesn't help with the back rest situation.

Does anyone out there have the same problem, and do you know of a set of seats that can replace the existing so i feel i'm actually in a seat that fits?

Hi

Yes the headrest can be raised. I've got it to about ear level when it should be to about eye level. I'm 6'2" so I guess you will have a similar problem. You may also wish to consider inserting a lumber support beneath the seat cover. I believe this can be done. I'm looking to do this later this year. Some have fitted the later Cerb seats, but require some fixing alterations , and the rest I guess depends on personal taste.

Cerb seats fit a Griff so I guess they'd fit a Chim.
The difference in height is noticable. I'm 6ft2in and am long in the body and I think they are fantastic.
I documented the installation proces here|www.thegriffithpages.com including how to measure the difference in headroom when the new seats are in. It might be worth a look.

The Griff Ive just bought has the pump up lumber suports with standard Griff/Chim seats, had them on my Griff SE but that had the old Cerb seats, not sure if it was a factory option or somone has added them, improves the comfort no end.

I am 6.6 and the Chim is very comfortable for me. The only adjustment I made is to remove the drivers seat, get rid of the washers on the bolts and put the seat back. It gives you (slightly) more head space when the top or targa is on.
