Would these fit or too large !

The 205/225 combination is the non-PAS standard. PAS cars usually have 225/245 as standard therefore you should have no problem.
Due to a mix-up I was running 205/245 for a while which felt very weird as I got loads of undesteer (non-PAS). Running 225/225 was the best setup (although this was on S02 potenza) with good turn in and good traction - it was a bit heavy on the steering though.

This has prompted me to ask whether I have the 'right' tyres on my car. I have 205/55/15's on the front and 225/50/16 on the rear.
the 'bible' however, say, that as my 99 400 Chim has PAS, it should have 225/50/15s on the front or is that a misprint and should only be for the 500?
The handbook only has different tyres for the 500 with PAS

My 400 Chim has the exact tyre sizes as yours, and the Estoril wheels from new. It seems to handle well enough to me!
I don't think I would worry too much. I think TVR probably put on whatever they had at the time.

Odd. 205/245 is standard for a non-PAS Griff.
PS.
Bob!Nuggs, they do look good! However am seriously tempted by the Jordan R's from ACT. Has anyone fitted them? Would 17 front and 18 rear affect the handling or just make it a firmer ride?
They do look the mutts!!

16's all round best any larger is just bling and likely need adjustable platforms to get height reset right.
I have had Estorils on last one and 5 spokes on current (one not a fan when first got it but really grwon on me - much better as 16's though alot more air space for checking out huge brakes!) but upgraded to rears on the front to (down one profile but same width - need for big brakes) - use 5mm spacer to stop catching on wishbones.

:cant belive i'm asking jelli a question smilly:
Do you need to reset all Geo if a 5mm spacers is used ? Mine only just touches, full left lock only! so i dont use full left lock
No - so minor and as it is just moving it horizontally inline with the 90 deg theoretically movement of the hub face should not matter - we use all sorts of differen spacers on racers and it is not an issue.
Fills the arches that much better hay each axle is 10mm wide track!!!!!!!

Goes off to measure offset on front & rear
will be back shortly
For example, I have just under 1" spacers (all round) on huge long studs on the other half mini, and had in at trackers to check it all - all spot on. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dl

I think that 5mm spacer will just put the geometry back (almost) how it should be, the offset is different on the rears. Either that or it will make it twice as wrong
