Toe in I presume.

I don't think there's a convention for that - it's just described as toe-in or toe-out. You're lucky if you can work out whether they're talking about the total angle (both sides) or just one side.

I stand corrected, just always assumed toe in I guess.

Mr Andersons specs are GASMAN SAYS THEY ARE OBSOLETE DONT USE!

Neil Anderson said:
Front tracking (toe) 10 to 20 minutes TOTAL ACROSS AXLE (5 to 10 minutes each wheel)
Rear tracking (toe) 4 to 6 minutes EACH WHEEL (as equal as possible side to side)

Well those arn't the numbers issued by TVR last year as an update and I'm crediting Neil as the suspension expert who did the work for them.
No mention of Camber, I do that first because it has an effect on toe.

I don't issue any alignment settings, I do pass on settings to customers once I have established what they are doing with the car if they need them.
In this case taking grooms to the church etc needs a nice all year, all weather, safe understeery car and I passed on these settings to the customer.
If you want your car set up properly, give me a call and I will pass you on to somebody who will discuss your needs and set up the car properly for you.

Edited to add
I note from your profile that you intend to upgrade suspension with Joo, I'm sure he will find a set-up to suit you.

Pages 208 - 209 in the bible. Front and rear track 20 mins toe-in.

This is the official absolutely right definitevely correct and "anyone using anything else will have their car impounded by the suspension policecop" values.

I have seen so many "official" values that it borders on a religious war. The figures I quote are the ones that TVR used for years on the cars and are a good starting point. Going toe out is not to be recommended generally on a road car. It exchanges stability for turn in. Going too much toe in will promote rapid tyre wear.

Right had 4 new T1-Rs fitted this morning, tracking was miles out, 1.3 toeing out! Hence the knackered inside edge on both tyres (car came like this)Set up using The setting passed on from the Gazman. The car is now transformed as you may imagine, steering is light, bit too light, dropped the front tyre pressures to 24 from 26 and now all good. Now I know I’m ment to drive grooms nice and safely to the church, however I like a hoon as much as anyone and I would say this is spot on, despite not being worn in yet, the T1-Rs seem to have more grip both ends than the T1-s. Will be getting the Griff done on Monday too. Cheers Gazman and very fine shocks BTW, very please and will be speaking to you about another set shortly.

Dave, you jumped on the question right at the begining and only gave part of the answer and even that was misleading in that you didn't say toe in or toe out and no mention of camber was made, so that's why I had a dig at you.
I don't hand out full geometry settings "ad hoc" because the update from the factory last year would not suit all IMHO and would further confuse the issue.

Thats all right Dereck, your petty attitude over that simply overwhelms me. I wont be goaded into responding to your inane provocative posting, just suffice to say, have you ever owned another supercar with which to compare your TVR; have you ever got your hands dirty doing a full geometry or rebuilt all the running gear; do you ever attempt to contribute anything to this site without the intention of promoting your own products? Are you an enthusiast or a leech? Just a little friendly tit4tat :-)

Dave
I solemnly swear not to utter another word on this subject, even/except (please vote) if Humphries taunts me
