Hi, Hope some of you on here can help me. I've got a problem with the drivers door popping open as I'm driving along for no reason. It happened a few times as i went over bumps which didn't worry me too much but now it's started to do it more often and has now popped open a couple of times as I've been going round right handers eek. Any help is appreciated.
Cheers Paul.

I assume you dont have electric doors, so you just need to have a look at the cable. Theres a flap of carpet behind the door that houses the catch, the cable to the release knob would be my guess, just make sure it is all free & lubed. Have a look & you may be luck in that the reason may be quite obvious.

My adjuster for the door release cables is under the console IIRC ~ lifting the console is a PITA since you have to release the hand brake cable tension (the adjusters are conmmonly seized - you learn to keep this free & adjusted with time), and mixing mucky jobs with clean jobs is a tad irritating.

Thanks Dave, Didn't think they were cables (it's the model with the push button behind the door, no key) but don't know so I'll have a look as soon as i get chance.

The cables are from the centre door release - they all got one of them!

I had a similar problem with the passenger door. Slackening the cable from the centre release a little solved the problem in minutes.
