Meta alarm siren

Hi can anyone help with a query on the Meta siren as mine has stopped working. It sounded like batteries were running out as it gradually died so I have changed them but its still not working, although the siren speaker itself worked when I checked it.

As its a 4 wire unit is there any way I can check the siren or signal from the alarm unit before replacing stuff?
