I have just been put in touch with a guy with a brand new SD1 box old stock, obviously for the earlier chims & griffs, just need to know if anyones interested, its actually listed for a vitesse rover,so i would imagine does not come with the remote linkage.

slightly O/T but still with the transmission, will a standard SD1 or range rover/land rover V8 clutch fit an early '94 non serpentine chim? the clutch is frozen and the gent who sold the car to me stood on the clutch pedal which is now floppy - any bets on what will have broken in the pedal/m/c/thrust lever?
cheers

It should be a wee stronger clutch than Sd1/LR, labour is the most (yours or paid for) so wouldnt skimp on the part.

Cant you pop the slave cyl off & have a look, in case its not the clutch itself?

He may have blown a seal, thru excess pressure normally when you get a frozen clutch its just the centre plate stuck to the flywheel/pressure plate.maybe the cetre plate splines have rusted onto the input shaft i think the only permanant cure for this is box out and a new clutch assy.
