No more than £400 IMO. Maybe more if it didn't have so many numbers, or more relevant numbers like 400X or 500X.

By how much will it increase the value of your TVR? IMO it will be very little if anything at all.

IMO if you get a TVR plate that exactly matches your particular model, say TVR 500 for a 5 litre Chimaera you look a bit flash and naff to most people. If you go for one like this, i.e. just the TVR letters, then it will just look like you weren't flush enough to get the full model designation of your TVR.

Doesn't your TVR have a TVR badge on it already anyway?

TVR 453X might be worth a bit more, if you can get it (as they say). Whether you would want it on your car is another matter.

I had TVR 301X (it came with the car) and it was valued at about a grand. Apparently it's worth more as having TVR at the start (ie. an 'old'' style plate) means it can go on pretty much any car.

Ultimately (but not really helpfully) it's worth as much as you're willing to pay for it.

Dear Roberto,
Why not take your head out of your arse mate.
Why chastise somebody for wanting a TVR plate, I don't personally like them either but guy was just asking how much it is worth.
Plus how can you say you look cheap unless it relates to the car - doesn't leave a lot of choice does it (its not so much cost as availabilty).
In future, why not try to add positive comments or don't bother replying.

Interesting.......

Indeed I asked for how much it is worth as I have been offered it and never slow to pass up a potential good deal just wanted to know its value. Suffix numbers appear top fetch more. Doing a bit of research similar numbers fetch over £1k.

Thanks for your opinions, though not required.

Steve, TBH I think burriana was dead right in his assessment. The only serious points I'd make are:
Ensure you are not confusing asking and selling prices, of comparable plates.
Your car will depreciate but the number plate should at least hold its value, so you should be happy.

Not everyones cup of tea, but always a good laugh (whoops ~ an opinion not an answer)

Sorry, I obviously put it badly. I was thinking of buying it and selling it on. Have now had an offer from a plate co and should make a few hundred quid. That wil pay for some new tyres....goodee

Whether it looked good on the car didn't really come into the equation thats all I ment.

Thanks for responses anyway :-)

Check that it's defintely an offer to buy it, not an offer to advertise it on their site which is usually what they offer.
