Side indicator bulbs........anyone know how to remove them?
Discussion
Stupid question I know, sorry....
Mooching about on the chim doing my pre mot checks and whilst fitting a cd player I prodded the hazard switch, remembering it worked approximately one month ago, but thought as I was there I would check it as that's an mot check.
Didn't work.
All the wires are on, but both <- and -> remain illuminated, ie not flashing....on looking outside the indicators remain 'on' and not flashing. Apart from the offside side illuminating indicator.
Now...
I'm thinking the lack of illumination relates to the bulb gone which caused the break in circuit which stops the hazards flashing...but have tried to pull the lens off to check the bulb and so far hasn't budged.
Right then....before I do the usual silverback trick of yanking it so hard it either snaps or shatters is there a 'knack' of removal. I suspect there isn't and it's a pull but thought I had better check.....

Indicators on but not flashing usually points to a bad earth (at least it does on "normal" cars where the bodywork forms the earth path to the battery - not sure about TVR wiring yet!) Or possibly dodgy flasher unit. But also very possible that the dead bulb means there's not enough load on the circuit to make the flasher work.
You might find that the bulbs actually pull out from behind the lens. Can you get at the back of the lens by reaching past the wheel?

Are Hazard Light Swithces easy to get hold of now, as the circuit board on mine had burnt out and it took ages to get one after I had ordered it (about 6 months) This is the nicely machined Aluminium One that are Bloody expensive.
