Hi all, just noticed today that my ice light seems to be playing up... when i start the car i get the quick green/yellow/red test before it goes off and then it stays off until it is properly cold and then only comes on red - no green or yellow stage. any thoughts as to what it could be? Could be the sensor failing I suppose?

Also while im thinking about it, when i put the hand brake on, the warning light comes on but flickers a bit as if its not quite on even when the handbrake is on as much as I can tighten it (a full 3 clicks with 2 hands!!) The light works fine when I push the test button on the brake resivoir though so another mystery to me!

Any thoughts would be much appreciated!

That sounds like you are testing the low fluid warning switch. The handbrake has its own microswitch by the lever, both activate the same warning light.

Hi,
The ICE warning lights all do that. The test feature is just to tease you - it's saying this LED could display three different colours....but in reality....it's not going to.

They all do this - Two modes: Off or RED.

Cheers,
Matt

Not quite true. Mine has 3 modes. Off, RED and DISCO. If the temp is marginal (say a cool summers day) it goes into wild disco mode.

I must get mine fixed then, it started as red at 7am, went to green a bit later & turned off completely when the ambient temperature warmed.
