Hi, I am thinking of upgrading my leads, has anyone got any recommendations of what manufacturer to use and any other ideas. Cheers

Hi

The popular choice at present seems to be Magnecor - ACT stock the full range.

The leads degrade over the years, especially in the harsh, hot environment they operate. Unless they have begun to fail there's no functional need to replace them. At that point there's nothing wrong with replacing them with original equipment.

Cheers, my chim is eight years old now and as far as i know they are the original leads, so i just thought it would be a budget upgrade that I could myself.

Some people say leads from castle race enigines are good, 10mm thick leads and half the price of Magnecor. Don't know myself as haven't yet bought them.

CASTLE RACE ENGINES,

Top service and very impressive leads, much cheaper than Mainstrem brands.

hi ,
I put Magnecor leads on you 4.0 and the car ran worse , so i sold them on ebay and bought some standard lucas leads and the car runs like a dream,

dont waste your money on expensive leads just stick to standard.

The std Lucas leads are more than adequate, infact they are very good(recommended by the best RV8 tuners). If you leads are not faulty ,then don't replace them looking for better performance.
