Tuesday afternoon I wave goodbye to my Audi TT... Thursday afternoon I bid a fond welcome to a TVR Chimaera! A change for the better, I think!

The 450 is beautiful in Ice Blue with navy hood and interior... And quite unique as you will see once I get around to posting some photos! I have a few personal touches planned to make it REALLY special...

Anyway, just a hello to all and sundry... especially those in and around Herts (I'm in Wheathampstead, near St Albans) who I look forward to seeing out enjoying the weather over the summer. I'll make sure to wave to any TVR I see!

Cheers!!

Welcome

With the weather in the South due to hit the 70s by Wednesday, it looks like just the time to get an open top (presume you'd have said roadster if your Audi was one).

Hope you have as much trouble free fun as I've had over the past 9 months since getting my 450. We gate crashed an informal Tuscan meet at the Royal Oak this lunchtime and driving around Surrey on the way there and back was just pure enjoyment. I'm very tempted by a Tuscan but the Chimaera's so good I'm just not sure I could bring myself to part with it.

Hope you'll post some piccies soon and maybe get along to the next meeting at Virginia Water - May 11 seems to be a possibility for this but check the Events board.

Let us know if you need any advice

Best,
Hutch

Welcome to the wonderful world of the Chimaera!!

Sure you will love it as all of us do, and even grow to love the "features" of the car too.

They are just great cars, and I am sure you will be smiling for many years to come

Blown fuse links, Split fuel tanks and packed up speedos, you'll love the quirks!!!

Sorry I'm probably not the best person to ask at the moment.Just a bit arsey with mine, that's all.

Hope the purchase goes well, bet you can't wait to pick it up and give it a blast with the top down.

Apparently it's going to be a lovely warm day on Thursday so the top WILL be off!

Audi will be picked up tomorrow afternoon, so I'm really starting to buzz. Probably won't be posting on the forum until at least Sunday cos I'll be out enjoying my new purchase!!!

I'll wave to you Gareth, I'm around Wheathamstead quite often. (Play golf at Mid Herts and Lamarwood, sons girl friend is in Codicote).
I've just spent three, more or less trouble free, years with a Chimaera before moving to a T350C last month.
I'm sure you'll enjoy her 101% Happy motoring...seeyer

There's quite a few TVRs round here - I'm just down the road in Harpenden, although I sold my Griff a few weeks ago. Usually a good gathering at the Three Horseshoes on Harpenden Common 2nd Sunday of the month, lunchtime. Good luck with your new car.
Cheers Paul
