Just got an Ipod and one of those FM transmitter thingy's. Using it in the Pug which has a decent aerial sometimes its difficult to select a frequency where the radio isn't trying to pick up another station.
I thought the radio in the Chim's lack of ability to pick up even Radio 2 might be an advantage. ears
Just been out and done about 90 miles and it works fine, absolutely clear as a bell, as far as I can tell even in built up areas. I did have to cut the volume off for a tunnel, a couple of town centres, and a few downhill bits, but only so I could get full enjoyment from the built in sound system. Haven't been out in it since Monday last week due to the salt on the roads etc; God its good! cool
So there you have it, forget CD multichangers and trying to listen to the Radio. Get an MP3 player and an FM transmitter, problem solved. yes
Long live my cr*p radio aerial, its a bonus now! clap

Can you tell me where you bought the transmitter please? I listened to one a while back and it sounded awful!

Hi Chris,
I got the Belkin one that is an FM transmitter with a cigar lighter attachment to cgarge the Ipod and power the transmitter.
It works without plugging into the cigar lighter but obviously as the FM transmitter is using the Ipod battery running time is reduced, but I've had it going for several hours like this.
Got mine from Currys digital cost £39.95. I tried PC World and Comet and they sold a different model Belkin & also another make cost £60, I couldn't see the advantage of those over the one I got.
How do you mean "it sounded awful"?

They have only just become legal, you have to make sure they are CE marked. Dont drive in the rest of Europe as they are still illegal. Tunnels should not have any effect though, not sure how thats happening !
