Does anyone have any sound clips or utube footage of both cherry and sleeving for comparison ?

Thanks in advance.

it will sound a bit deeper and a bit louder with just straight through pipes on. A bit like a thug boat ... oh sorry, did I say "thug"? Silly me

a recent comparison of a cherry bomb or sleeved exhaust led us to believe there isn't much in it in terms of noise or the good old "poppin' and bangin'".

I paid about £60 for my local indie to sleeve my exhaust. Somewhat cheaper than the cherries, but you pays your money and takes your choice.

Now THAT is more like it ... a really nice sharp clipped edge to the sound, rather than just a wuffly roar yes

However ... just a Cherry Bomb conversion will not give you that sound as:

a) the car was a de-cat
b) it has the ACT sports manifolds on

And B is the bit I'm interested in

800, I think, more if you want them looking very shiny and not contributing to the engine bay sauna.

Not cheap, but you get a full decat included in the price hehe

It's worth it for noise and extra grunt. Do it!

Actually car is:

Pre cat
ACT Sports manifold
V8 development heads
ACT induction kit
Tripple Throttle Bodies
Carbon Plenum and airbox + trumpets.

It actually doesn't sound all that much different to before the cherry System until you put the hammer down then it really takes off noise wise. ie the idle sounds the same.

So actually, nothing like standard with just a sleeve job

How much does V8 development heads, ACT induction kit, Tripple Throttle Bodies, Carbon Plenum and airbox + trumpets affect the noise?

No point in me spending money on a catless manifold system if it won't give me the same nice sharp clipped note that that one has.
