Rear Calipers; refurb or replace?
Discussion
A bit of advice please; either recommendations for someone to refurb a pair of sticking rear brake calipers (and cost), or the relative cost and advantage of replacing ?
Currently without car, as it's having an engine/gearbox/diff oil change*, so not sure of sizes/part no's, but it's a '94 Chim with the 2p sized disks.
cheers
*mechanic puts EP oil in the gearbox as my ATF stuff is wrong; AAAAARRRRGGGGGGGG

ford sierra/granada 2.0i up to 2.9i in fact any sierra/granny with ABS as long as its not a vented rear brake calliper system,i would go for re/manafactured units from a reputable motor factor, than getting involved with cleaning and resealing yours, and they come with that nice plated finish, there not expensive either.
IIRC £100 will buy you a set of later uprights + hubs + calipers + disks from the TVR scrappers if you want to upgrade to later spec. I was quite surprised how cheap this was for what you got (from a late low mileage car at Douglas Valley). This is prob only useful if you will upgrade the fronts at some stage.
