Painting area of black underneath exhaust pipes

Oddball this one

Exhaust is off, and there is an area of black which is not painted body colour on the rear underside of the car. This black area looks a bit tatty on mine so want to paint it. Any ideas of whats best specially with the exhaust heat and paint sticking to the glass fibre. Anybody else done this?

You could try stone chip, I've just redone the lower edges of the sills, it gives a smooth but flexible finish, looks good but not sure about heat properties. Get it from Halfords in a spray can.

Thanks David I will give that a try at the weekend before the exhaust goes back on.
