Just got new S03s on the front at lunch, seems to drive better

Blasting up the dual carrigeway, look down, NO FUEL, and after a brief panic realise its the gauge that's playing up

Rest of the symptoms:

All other guages stay steady as a rock, not even a flicker
Turn the ignition off and on (I'm in IT OK) and the guage works then dosen't
When it's not working wiggling all the wires I can find (including behind the gauge (dash top still loose from last electrics escapade)) has no effect
Same when it is working

Could the ts at the tyre centre have dislodged something,. If so where do I look for a problem. Seems a bit of a coincedence to play up just now, it's never been a problem before

Or maybe she doesn't like other mens hands on her

I'd trace the wires from the sender unit (top of tank) through into the car - maybe somethings come loose/disconnected.
