Can anyone have a stab of what the current going through the wires from the tin relays to power the AFM, injectors and lambda sensors is?

I'm guessing the Lambda will take most current, then injectors then AFM?

The lamda probes produce a small voltage that feeds into the ECU, so no current is drawn. The airflow meter has a wire thats heated that will draw a small current, but I should think the injectors themselves being electromagets will draw the most power as they pulse. I have the wiring diagrams on PDF if you want them.

Won't the heating circuit for the Lambada sensors draw a fair bit?

Thanks for the offer, however I've got the diagrams

I was under the impression that the lambdas had a heater circuit in them hence requiring a fair current. All three items are linked to the ECU so I'm thinking singular amps each as opposed to 10's.

Yes they do, probably the most hungry out of the items listed.

Just a stab in the dark, but I would have thought the Lambda heaters drew the most current.

doh, must not drivel on the phone for so long.....

Arent all the said circuits powered from the ECU ~ except the injectors that are powered by the relay?

I stand corrected on the heater current, I forgot about that !

Hello Blitzracing

Could you please email me the wiring Pdfs? I would be most grateful because here in Germany nobody seemsto have any wiring diagramms.

Thanks Jens

I'd be careful, I think TVR used LR harnesses ~ which changed subtely over the years.... Haynes LR / Rover / RR books are available in Germany. The reason many people are 'cagey' about publishing wiring diagrams is that they have changed so much (and had lots of modifications etc) You can only use them as a guide ~ and have to derive your own, in this sense Steve Heaths in the bible are as good as anything for 'common' use (thats a positive BTW SH).

There's also diagrams here www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&f=&t=243015
Like has been mentioned they should only be used as a guide, on my loom the wiring around the two tin relays is subtly different to shown.
