New Mirror options

Has any one looked at either Mazda MX5 or BMW Mini mirrors as replacements?
Both look like they may go on with a little work. Can anyone in the trade have a look at the mountings & offer an opinion?

There seems to be a new crop of cars just released (Honda Civic, Fiat, Renault (notsure)...) that have "pillared" mirrors - as well as some of the Hyundai Coupes. The wiring is easily adapted I reckon. Its really selecting a 'nice' mirror & making sure you can mount it - but is must be a lot easier & neater to just fill the hole up rather than use the TVR adapter!
