Hi

I have a couple of scratches on my chim roof, think they were caused by next doors moggy. They aren't deep at all, but look bad.

Has anyone come across this before? Is there any way of getting rid of them without recovering?

Thanks in advance

James

If they're not too deep you should be able to polish them out. Start with 1500 grade wet and dry and work your way through rubbing compound to scratch remover. However, I had the inside of my roof panel covered with a vinyl which perfectly matches my leather. It gives the interior a more finished appearance and lightens the cockpit. I wasn't covering up any scratches; I just prefered it that way. Don't remember how much the job was but the material was under £20.

I'd have a word with your local Chips away agent. They often do fabric repair as well so he should be able to offer some advice.

Ooops

Sorry James, for some reason I was thinking that the scratches were on the inside of your roof....Duh!

Can you post a pic? Maybe a multi bladed razor lightly drawn along the scratch would remove any fraying.
