Indicator cancel adjustment after steering rack change
Discussion
I had the manual steering rack in the Chim serviced and I replaced it on the car.
Now the steering wheel is not centered when car heading straight - no problem as I guess I just remove it and recentre?
But I've noticed another problem - as I the steering column position has moved the indicators self cancel at offset positions as you turn the wheel. So now on shallow left handers it doesn't cancel unless it's a sharp left-hander with more wheel movement.
Is there any way to adjust the indicator canceling position relative to the column. Or am I better splitting the column steering UJ to reposition the column (which I think? will require me to unbolt the rack so quite a big job?!?)

Id say centre it by removing the intermediate shaft (do put gaiters on if you havent already). My rack has a mark to set it central, If you havent got one I'd punch one in, when separated find the cemtre of the steering wheel (check the cancel!) mark the shaft (engage steering lock) Then reassemble ~ the reference mark on the rack can be used to adjust odd splines to get the fine centralisation of the st wheel before fully engaging Ujs & tightening (yes I tapped the Ujs home then had to get them off to move a couple of splines ~ first time!).
