Hi
Just fitted a hot start kit as a precautionary matter.
Having a general look around and trying to identify some of the relays etc.
Identified the fuel pump and ECU feed/injector relays as per info from previous forums.

There are two loose black relays 071098 what are they any ideas?
The car has air con if this helps anyone?

Also under the spare fuses on the main fuse board are what look like two small relays, no mention of these in the bible?

Also noticed fuse 3, engine fan1 + horns has a 40 amp fuse and not a 25 amp fuse as per handbook. Fuse 19 engine fan 2 only has a 25 amp fuse as per hand book?

I’m going to leave well alone, don’t try and fix what isn’t broke but just interested in what’s what under there.

Got any pictures? The numbers on the relays sound like date codes.

Hi,
the two black relays you mention that are in the loose wiring loom are for the air con I believe, the relay plug in recepticles are off white in colour. They are present in my Griffith with air con. I think there is a relay in the fuse board as well for the air con system.

Mine's a '99 450 with air con and has the same two relays, I'm not sure what they're for. Anyway, they are standard five-terminal 30A relays (with the extra 87a connector).
