I know this is going to make me sound like a tw*t but here goes, Need to replace brake light bulb on 2000 450, however can't get to the bulb the'bible' doesn't help and I'm reluctant to pull at the rubber shroud if thats not the way to get at it. If anybody out there can help I would be very grateful. As you may have gathered I'm not the oily hand type but I'm sure even I should be able to do this.

The light fitting unscrews. The entire socket with the wiring in it (about the diameter of a jam jar lid) turns, along with all the wiring. You might find that it's a bit glued up from when the carpet was fitted, but it does turn.

When you refit it, remember to twist the wiring up first, so that it untwists again when the socket is screwed back in.
