Hi,

Can anybody tell me if it is possible to fit the later 4 rear light cluster to a Chim. Is it difficult and will the Fiesta light assembly fit? Where is the best place to buy?

I have a pair of the aftermarket Lexus rear clusters if anyones interested. These will fit the older style Chimaeras. Just about to put them up on ebay and the classifieds on here. These are brand new. Open to offers.

You mean the ones that TVR fitted to the later models don't you? From seeing pictures of rear end moulds at the factory, I would say that the fibre glass mould is different to the ones with Fiesta lights, so it wouldn't be possible to fit them...I could be wrong of course, but it seems logical to me.

converted mine last summer to the later lights (4 round individual lenses) as tvr factory.
"central tvr" sell the moulds £40-ish for the pair. You will have to source the lights however....
sure their from landrover..... same as the front indicators i think

or

you could even put in led lights in to be different

anyway got my lights from "Stafford vehicle services" (they supply lights etc to the kit car world)

cutting out the existing moulding where the fiesta lense goes was the only real pain
plus bonding the new moulds in.....

It is possible to fit aftermarket lights without changing the moulds. What you need is a pair of Lexus clusters

Later Chimaeras with the 4 circular rear lights not actually pods. The are actually part of the body unlike earlier models. So you can't go to a scrappy expecting to get a pair. However TMS and the like do do an after market pod that looks exactly like the original clusters of later cars that can be fitted to earlier models. I think they're about 300 GBP

Hi Roobarb, I'm interested in this conversion as well as the OP. Who are "TMS" and (roughly) where in the country are they?

Any help gratefully received.
