Have used the search feature to no avail so here goes.

I am trying to rent a garage to put a TVR Chimaera in (I haven't actually bought the car yet!) and need to know how wide the garage needs to be allow me to get the car in and still be able to open the door to get out!

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

That's the main point!

I've just measured mine, and I suggest that once you've got the car in the garage, you'll need about 2ft or so on the driver's side in order to get out comfortably (assuming you intend keeping the roof on!) as the doors are quite deep in themselves.
You would be well-advised to put some old carpet on the garage wall to avoid damaging the door.

Hope this helps.

Just measured my garage. Its 8'8" wide in old money. With the Chim quite tight to one side there is loads of room. I tried it at 8' & could still get out but you would not want it much narrower. Hope this helps.
