Opinions vary, a search will reveal several previous posts which 'discuss' this at length here & over on the Griff forum.

No-one makes an off-the-peg full cage, AFAIK. And even if they did, you wouldn't want one for a road car, and the insurers would be sniffy.

I have the Rollcentre roll-over bar, as fitted by Tower View Racing, and it's fine. Do a search since this question is a FAQ!

Do you actually mean a full cage or just a roll bar?

Caged do a virtually off the shelf full roll cage as they have done a few griff and chim models. Andy Race ( tvr monster) has just had one put in his road/race griff

Im not sure I'd want a full cage in a road car unless i was happy to wear a lid all the time. not sure i'd like to whack my head on a roll cage....

in the chim I have the rollcenter/tower view rear hoop, which is well out of the way of my head..

Sorry gents

I think a mean a roll over bar.

I really don’t what a full racing cage I have seen some very smart polished metal role over bars that contour the shape of the sets.

Thank very much for the help any more much appreciated.

The Rollcentre / Tower View bar is the one to go for.

Unlike all the other "for cosmetic use only" shiny bent bits of tubing, the aforementioned was designed by Martin Short of Rollcentre to FIA standards (although it isn't FIA tested / approved) and sold by Tower View.

It has also been specifically designed for road use where you're not wearing a helmet. You don't want the bar too close to your head so that you smack it against the bar in a shunt and give yourself a head injury - it's meant to be a device that increases safety not decreases it.

There simply isn't a better design on the market.
