Rear shock bushes
Discussion
Copper slip it is. Helps them go in easier too. Does it make any difference if you turn the dampers 180 degrees, (not swapping the pivots, just rotating about the axis of the damper) cos the adjustment knob is currently pointing down and Im a bit worried that if I ran over a stick or something it might snap it off.

I'm just in the process of installing a set of GAZ shocks on the Griff. These have the little dial type adjuster too. The advice from Derek (GAZMAN) is fronts the dial goes inboard towards the sump and rears it goes outboard towards the wheel. That way you can reach the dials easily to adjust them.

Use lots of Copper slip.
I turned my back ones around 180 degrees- no problems except that when it's up on the car lift the wishbones get close to the adjustment knobs. It's also much more of a fiddle to adjust them. I'd point them downwards if I were you.
I keep meaning to turn mine around but haven't had a moment yet.
If you're worried about muck &c. getting in, then put some electrical/duck tape around the knob. I wouldn't worry about sticks &c. knocking it off.
