How Much oil do you consume?

I have looked at the dipstick and doesn't seem to give a clear indication of oil level.
You need to be able to see the oil level, and be on the lookout for oil piked up from the side of the dipstick tube giving you an artificially high reading. If you have brand new oil it can be so clean that you can't really see it on the dipstick at all. Give it a couple of thousand miles and you will find it much easier to see. In the meantime if you wipe the dipstick dry with a tissue, dip it and then wipe a dry tissue over it again, you will be able to see roughly where the oil is.
